I wonder how many people in our ever-growing community know about the food medicine being lovingly grown right on our doorstep?
I have just had the privilege of moving into a cottage on Stone Ridge Farm, situated 7km from the village up the Oyster Bay road and I want to share a little about this magical place.
This visionary farm is the love-child of John and Les Davies who have established expansive gardens of organically grown vegetables and herbs, including edible flowers, to the tune of over 30 varieties.
The gardens are tended by John and Les’s impeccably trained team whose care for their work is tangible and whose energy add a certain value to the food they help grow.
This organic food is available to everyone in the community at the St Francis Brewery – home of St Francis Beers mini market and also at St Francis Market now from October.
While occasionally vegetables are bought in to add variety, mostly freshly picked in the morning and straight to your table, organically grown vegetables deliver 10’s of times more nutrients to you and your loved ones than store-bought vegetables, and create a solid foundation of health and immunity.
Prices are really reasonable.
You know where to find them now.
